The College of Wooster X-ray lab is a facility in Scovel Hall on the College’s campus. Maintained by the Geology Department and originally funded by the National Science Foundation, the lab has two instruments available for student, faculty, and general academic use — an X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF). Instruments for preparing samples for both machines are available, along with a computer for conducting data analysis.
The X-ray lab is open to commercial users. For more information on scheduling use and pricing, please see this page.
